Our colleague and country music expert Dennis McCafferty is excited about yesterday's news that the Eagles are performing at the Country Music Association Awards in November because he'll be there. "How huge is that? I’ll be on the red carpet and backstage before the show, so hopefully I’ll be able to get some dish to Who's News blog readers that night. Actually, I served as Don Henley’s ‘editor’ once for the magazine, so he SHOULD talk to me. He wrote an op-ed-style feature for us, about off-road bikes. Then again, when I was in high school, I was a music critic for the newspaper, and I panned the Long Run album. Sorry, but in the title song, I couldn’t get past the rhyming of ‘money’ with ‘honey.’ Oh well, I’m sure the Eagles guys have forgotten that by now. Anyway, stay tuned for more when the CMA Awards air on Wednesday, Nov. 7, on ABC.”
