Sheryl Lee Ralph's AIDS fundraiser
Posted by Lorrie LynchHere's a shout-out to actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, whose 17th annual Divas Simply Singing is Saturday at LA's Wilshire Ebell Theatre. Jennifer Holliday, Deniece Williams and Loretta Devine are among the performers Sheryl has put together for her annual show to raise money for AIDS. I've talked to her several times about this fundraiser, and there is no escaping her passion; she has lost many good friends and colleagues to the disease. She was among the first to raise money for AIDS research and services, and she'll be among the last.

I met Sheryl in Jamaica, While she was in the process of making the mighty Quin movie. We have lost touch over the years, but I am so proud of all her accomplishments. God continue to bless you in all your endeavors.
