Hulk's divorce, Matt McConaughey's evacuation
Posted by Kathy RowingsOver coffee...It's Kathy this
morning, trying to recover from my 6 a.m. flight and several days of
entirely too much food. Let's see what the stars were up to this
holiday weekend.
A couple of wedding celebrations in addition to Thanksgiving: Superman Returns
star Brandon Routh married his girlfriend, actress Courtney Ford,
Saturday in California, and actress Jaime King exchanged vows with her
boyfriend, director Kyle Newman, on Friday.
On a less-loving note, Hulk Hogan's wife filed for divorce -- but
didn't tell him. He found out when a journalist called to ask him about
it.And baby news: The Office's Angela Kinsey is pregnant, and Joey McIntyre's son, named Griffin Thomas, was born Wednesday.
Matthew McConaughey had to be evacuated from his new Malibu
home due to the wildfires. He famously lived in a trailer
for months, though, so he may be more well equipped to deal with this than
others.
Think happy TV thoughts: The WGA and the studios are back at the bargaining table today.
Not everyone traveled back home for the holiday: Jerry Seinfeld was in Israel to promote Bee Movie (I hope they weren't subjected to all those "Bee Movie shorts" we saw 11,000 of on NBC), and Oprah made a trip to South Africa to visit her school.
Russell Crowe may replace Brad Pitt in State of Play. Pitt left the project on Thanksgiving eve, so the studio is scrambling to find a replacement.
Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams probably had an 'Enchanted" weekend, as that movie was No. 1 at the box office. This Christmas was second, and Angelina Jolie helped put Beowulf in the third-place spot.
