Josh Brolin is so over Goonies

Back in 1986, when Josh Brolin was still trying to overcome his film debut in Goonies, after he had just Country2_2 spent a few years working in theater on the East Coast, he told our writer Nancy Mills, “Look at me. People think, ‘Dumb jock.’ But if I can’t be respected as a good actor, I want to do something else. I don’t want the Tom Cruise parts, the jock parts.”  Reminded of that in a fresh interview with Nancy this week, Brolin laughs but says nothing has really changed. “It’s very important to me not to feel embittered in my choices,” he says, “so I figured out other ways to make money," like playing the stock market. He pauses, then allows, “There are a couple projects I did for the money.” But he wouldn't name them.
