Celebrity birthdays: Drew Carey turns 50
Posted by Lorrie LynchMr. Price is Right Drew Carey turns 50 today, while the lovely Jewel turns 34. And first Dancing with the Stars champ Kelly Monaco turns 32. I'll be celebrating a big birthday this weekend, myself. No, not mine. My friend Rosemary Chalk has a milestone birthday and friends and family are coming from all around the country to celebrate with her Sunday here in Washington, D.C.

Jewel is amazing. She once lived out of her car in an effort to get her songs recognized. She has sold 27 million albums to date in the pop and hip-hop categories. Now she wants to fulfill her REAL dream, becoming a country star. Her first attempt, the single "Stronger Woman," is doing well. She has an uncanny singing voice, able to sound like anything from a soft little girl to a gravel-pitted rock and roller. She also is capable of doing a solo act, with just an accoustic guitar. There's something real special here.
