    Ashley Judd's volunteer work

Ashley_judd_2 Ashley Judd is on a mission: She wants to change the world for the better. I talked to her last week about her volunteer work around the globe, and it was clear that she's not just another celeb who's signed onto a cause for the publicity -- she knows her stuff and is really passionate about it. Volunteer work has "in the best possible, most dramatic and rewarding way, turned my life inside out and upside down," she said.  "Principles that I admired I am now able to truly  live."  And she truly is living them: Judd is on the board of Population Services International, a nonprofit organization that runs health empowerment programs in 65 countries. She's traveled to 13 countries (she's pictured at left on a recent trip to India), and is getting ready to head to Vietnam and Laos, followed by a trip to Russia. In Vietnam and Laos she'll be focusing on how to reach exploited girls and women. "I design a line of clothing for a store called Goody’s," she explained,  "and I want to visit the factories where Goody’s is manufactured, so I can make a link between the factories and PSI workplace programs. It’s truly my goal to integrate my professional and my volunteer work seamlessly, hand in glove."

she is defending wildlife, strange sounds to me like she is defending liberalism. There may be plenty of wildlife there but the wolfs dont care because they are still being shot In fact bang there goes another one.

The least Judd needs to stick to something she knows about... such as shoplifting!!!

Ashley is my hero(ine)! Kudos to her for taking up the torch and defending wildlife from the abuses of a merciless governor. How can you condone the aerial slaughter of wolves to control the balance of nature. Made worse by the bounty the governor imposes of $150 for each fore paw of the slain wolf. Let nature pervail. Ashley, you go girl!

Ashley Judd is an idiot. Kill babies and save wildlife, hmmmm. What percentage of Ashley's salary has she donated to help others. Maybe she should donate the multi-million dollar oversized house to a family that actually needs it. Her helping people is just a front - she does so little in comparison to what she can do. Her donating a million dollars is like me donating a hundred and I donate hundreds a year! She, like us all, will have to answer to God - good luck Ashley, you'll need it explaining your views to God.

I will never watch another Ashley Judd movie (no big loss, they sucked anyway).

Shame on you Ashley. Fighting for a cause is admirable, but you should do your homework first.
Do you even know anything about why the wolfe population needs to be controlled? Alaska is not hollywood. Many of it's people hunt their own food and depend on these wild animals for life. Because the wolves are killing the moose and caribo they must be controlled. Is is less cruel to allow these animals and HUMANS starve? I will boycott your movies from now on.

Good for you Ashley - You are following your passion to help change the world - and your heart is in the right place.

She wants to "change the world". Maybe she should start with the 4000 babies that are murdered everyday through abortion. WHICH SHE SUPPORTS.

Ms. Judds volunteer work is admirable. However, her polotical views are just wrong. I will not, cannot ever watch another one of her fims. I will not contribute to her financially.
