Tell us: Should 'Lost' be on our most-anticipated shows list?

080921cover If you've been following the blog lately, you'll know that we're excited about fall TV, and we're loving your comments about your favorite returning shows and whether TV is getting better or worse (the consensus is decidely worse). This week, E!'s Kristin dos Santos did the seemingly impossible: She got four TV critics to agree on the best shows coming soon. And, on a more entertaining note, got three of fall TV's biggest stars -- 30 Rock's Tracy Morgan, Grey's Anatomy's Eric Dane and rising star Kyle Bornheimer, who you'll come to love on CBS's new Worst Week -- into one room for USA WEEKEND's cover shoot. So be sure to check out our cover story for the experts' top TV picks plus inside scoop from the very fun photo shoot (Bornheimer rubbed Morgan's belly for luck at one point!).

And tell us: Lost didn't make our list (because it's not back on the air until January) but Heroes did. Should Lost have made the list anyway?

LOST is the BEST TV SHOW EVER!!!! Can't wait for the new season to start...only negative I know about it is that I wish the new shows started right away...but I guess that is what happens when you are more concerned about QUALITY vs. quantity (like you should be)...

Does'nt ANYONE watch PRISON BREAK!!? It is the best written, acted and most exciting series on television!! Why did the show get overlooked
at the awards last week??????

The title says it all: "LOST" I had enough of it several years ago and look for something else to watch when it is on.

Lost absolutely should have been on the list regardless of when it comes back.

First of all, do any of the networks see these comments? They certainly all point to the same conclusion: that TV HAS gotten worse. Whenever a decent show comes on: Shark, Commander-in-Chief, to name two, the network takes it off & replaces it with either another reality or game show (the only worthwhile one being Jeopardy!).

i truly prefer Amazing Race over all the reality shows listed

No, you needn't bother to list it. Lost is just that - it's lost. We always seem to be waiting forever for this show. I've watched nearly every episode, hoping for some "moral to the story". In the beginning it seemed as if it was going to be a spiritual journey for all of the cast, but it's just turned out to be a bunch of meaningless violence. I'm not wasting my time on it any longer.

January is Winter, not Fall. Your issue listed the Fall Preview. Lost should be in your Winter TV Preview.

You dropped the ball on this one. Lost is my number one show & should have been included. Too bad they were off for so long though. I can hardly wait to see the new Returning Series.

The most outstanding omission on your list is HOUSE, MD! The season finale was amazing, as the Director's win for best show direction proves!

Of course Lost should be on the list. It's a no-brainer!!

Oh my! You needed Lost and 24! How could you miss 24?!!!!! I understand it was a fall issue - but so many shows are starting in the winter now - and since you said it was your "annual" review - I think you should have included them. (Although I don't like that they start in the winter!)

Lost should definitely be on the list. It is one of the most engaging shows that has been on TV in a while.

Yes!!! Absolutely! Lost should have been on the list!!

Posted by: Jeannie Marie | Sep 21, 2008 9:36:40 PM | Flag as abusive

No, Lost shouldn't be on the list! It's my favorite show, but if we have to wait until February to see it, ABC should have to wait till then to have people writing and talking about it!

Posted by: Amy | Sep 21, 2008 8:16:20 PM | Flag as abusive

In a word? Yes. Lost should be there, at least once.

Posted by: semah | Sep 21, 2008 5:04:26 PM | Flag as abusive

Yes, LOST should have made the list. Its ploting is convoluted, but its characters are engaging. LOST and House are the only shows on the Returning Series list that we watch....
Advertizers beware!

PUSHING DASIES, I hope this returns, refreshingly funny series, how can you NOT list it! Great talent in this show. Lynn in Hawaii

Absolutly LOST should be number on the list.

LOST should have been on the list.

Lost should not have been overlooked. Some of the stupid reality shows in fact all as far asI am concenred should have been
omitted as should the persons who comprise these lists. It is only afterall their opinion

Posted by: alaine | Sep 21, 2008 11:11:56 AM | Flag as abusive

"Lost" most definitely should have made the list of most favorite returning shows. I was shocked to see that you people left it off. It is the best series ever.

One show that uses classic tv stlye film making
more intricate charater devolpment, LOST should've been here because it's a real dramatic sci fi show.
