Our Eli Manning, Annika Sorenstam cover shoot

081005cover USA WEEKEND features two sports superstars this weekend who do more than help their teams -- they also find time to help others. Eli Manning was last year's Super Bowl MVP, and has been giving back to his community since he was in college at the University of Mississippi. Annika Sorenstam has won 72 LPGA tournaments and now works to introduce young women to golf. Both have been named USA WEEKEND's 2008 Most Caring Athletes, and deservedly so. Our Dennis McCafferty interviewed Manning for the article and passed along this tidbit that didn't make it into the magazine: While he's a multi-millionaire, Manning lives well below his means -- he lives in a condo in a high-rise in Hoboken, N.J., and doesn't own an off-season home. It allows him to stay close to team training facilities, as well as his causes there. "New York and New Jersey is where I work, and that's where I live," he explains. "When you're a quarterback for the Giants, you have an obligation to be there, for the team and for the community."

Be sure to watch the video below for a fun behind-the-scenes look at the cover photo shoot, and read the full article in USA WEEKEND here.

I hardly recognized Annika. In person she is much more attractive than you portrayed her. Had to read the article to be sure it was Annika. she would have looked better in Golf Colths than designer dresses.

the purple dress looked like an awfull sack on a great, phsically fit athlete

on her worst day, she looks better than your mag. portrayed her

I agree with DM. I have seen Annika up close many times. You need some help at USA Weekend Mag. to replace the photo people. She may not be Miss Sweden but much more attractive than the shots you presented!!!!!!!!!I

Why can't we look at this in normal speed. It is totally useless the way it is.

Agreed I cant believe the greatest female golfer of our era is on the ccver of a mag and I ask my wife who the woamn was with E. Manning - it didnt even look like here. PS the behind the scenes look is also a major let down. Exactly what does one learn by looking at it?

You could have made Annika look worse. I'm not sure how but I guess you did your best.
