Stephen Colbert heads to outer space

Stephen_colbert Stephen Colbert (at right) is in space right this very moment. Well, sort of -- his DNA is in space. Colbert's building blocks are along for the ride with Richard Garriott, who's in orbit as a space tourist. Included in his luggage is a digitized copy of Colbert's DNA, as well as that of some other famous names, including physicist Stephen Hawking and American Gladiator Matt Morgan.

Garriott's dad was an astronaut, so he's the first second-generation astronaut, and says his trip into space is the realization of a childhood dream. Also interesting is that Garriott is a video game designer, and his newest game, Tabula Rasa, is set in a world where Earth has been destroyed. If that were to happen, are Colbert's remains the ones you want backed up in space?  Let us know in the comments below who you'd like to see immortalized.
