Tell us: What's the best movie ever set in a high school?

Hsm_poster The magazine this week has a nice interview with High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale, who dishes on everything from if she ever performed in her own high school's musical to if it gets tiring chasing after co-star Zac Efron in all the HSM movies (the newest one, High School Musical 3: Senior Year hits theaters next Friday). All that talk about high school experiences got us talking in the office about our own memories, and which movies we thought best portrayed high school as we remember it. Some of our favorites included Dazed and Confused, Pretty in Pink, and Can't Hardly Wait, but now we're turning it over to you. Tell us in the comments below: What do you think is the best movie ever set in a high school?

I agree with the fans of Grease! Grease is the best movie ever filmed in a high school! With epic actors like John Travolta and his co stars, Grease is a film that is classic to high school movies.

My favorite is Blackboard Jungle, running a close second Mr. Holland's Opus. Both pictures had execllent acting.

"Hollywood Knights" has to be the best ever ! ! !
It looks like it took place in the '60's in Central Oklahoma City were I used to live and our "Tubby's" was called "Hollie's". They replaced it with a McDonald's. All of us kids were poor and helped each other to keep our run-down "Hot-Rods" running.
Rent it and watch it! You'll love it! ! !My '57 "Sheby" was a copper color 2-door hardtop.

The Breakfast Club! I am retired after teaching high school and middle school for 40 years. I still laugh at the antics in this movie.

BLACKBOARD JUNGLE without any doubt. The cast including Glenn Ford, Anne Francis, Vic Morrow, Sidney Poitier and others were directed with exceptional expertise by Richard Brooks. This is a very real must-see movie.
