Celebrity birthdays: Britney Spears

Happy 27th birthday to Britney Spears (at left), who's had quite an eventful year and is now in the midst of a hopeful comeback. If publicity is any indication of success then she's doing just fine, with her new album hitting stores today, her MTV documentary this weekend to and the cover of Glamour next month. Also turning 27 today is our own Kathy Rowings. She'll celebrate by going to a Vampire Weekend concert this evening and, she hopes, with a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake. Singer Nelly Furtado turns the big 3-0, and actress Lucy Liu is 10 years ahead of her, as she turns 40 today.
