'What Not To Wear' hosts talk about each other
Posted by Lorrie Lynch
Clinton Kelly and Stacy London, the fashionable hosts on TLC’s What Not to Wear, have joked their way through six unscripted seasons of the makeover show — but, is that good chemistry real? That's what our Who's News readers want to know so I asked our Reyhaneh Fathieh to find out. She got them on the phone — individually, they just couldn't work out a time together — and reports that the self-described “brother-sister” pair has such an easy, natural chemistry that they even find ways to bounce off each other in separate interviews. Stacy, the feisty one, begged Reyhaneh to pull a practical joke on Clinton. “Please, please call him back and tell him I said he was really difficult. He’ll be like, ‘That b**ch!’ and you’ll get the dirt you were really looking for.” But Clinton, who described himself as “more easygoing,” just sounded a touch hurt — “Really? She said that?” he asked. To see what the two reveal about each other, click read more.

Clinton on Stacy: "I’m too afraid to talk about Stacy. [laughs] Stacy has a very strong personality. I’m a lot more easygoing, but we’re both a little moody. Let’s just say that I’m a little more punctual than Stacy. We used to take the same flights and sit next to each other, but now, we’re sort of like, ‘I’ll see you in Seattle.’ The similarities in our personalities probably end after sense of humor and taste in fashion."
Stacy on Clinton: "He’s probably nicer than I am. I’m more blunt. God, I don’t know! I
think he’s smart; he’s stylish; he’s … tall. He’s 6-foot-4 so I’m always
in heels trying not to look like a fat midget next to him. I’m not
really ever disapproving of what he’s wearing. However, he is very
frugal with compliments. Only around 18 percent of the time will he
say, ‘That outfit looks good.’ "
Stacy on her chemistry with Clinton: "If I were to describe us as a working entity, as a Regis-and-a-Kelly, I
would say, we’re sort of yin and yang. We’re very good at switching
back and forth, good cop/bad cop. We’re instinctual. He doesn’t really
have to say a lot for me to know what’s going on with him. I know when
he’s having a bad day, or when he’s tired, and we sort of pick up the
slack for each other. I’m a luckier co-host than most."
Clinton on his chemistry with Stacy: "We’re like a brother and sister in the backseat of a car on a long car
trip. Sometimes it’s fun and we’re playing games, but other times,
it’s, ‘She’s touching me! She’s looking at me! I can hear her
breathing!’ We’re probably karmically tied to each other. We had our
auras photographed years ago in Nashville, and the psychic told us we
were related in a past life. We both had the same aura."
Any romantic sparks?
Clinton: "We spend more time together than most married couples that
have been married for 20 years. We’ve spent 60 hours a week together
for the past five years. At this point, we’re an old married couple in
a sexless marriage."
Stacy: "We’re not married. We’re not dating. He’s the big brother and
I’m the little, much younger sister. [laughs] He’s three months older
than me, so he’ll turn 40 before me — and God bless him for that."
