Ray Romano will be back on television in December with a TNT series, Men of a Certain Age, so we sent our Dennis McCafferty, of the same certain age, out to Los Angeles this week to talk to Romano and his co-stars, Scott Bakula, who is great in The Informant! out now, and Andre Braugher, who had a terrific part in the House premiere this season. Dennis, pictured in purple with the three stars, reports that the four of them had a lot to share about being a husband, dad and — given the Yankees and the Phillies are facing off in the World Series — sports fan. "Being from Queens, Ray was absolutely mortified about the Yankees performance in the first game," Dennis says. "He told us that his boys had a basketball game on Wednesday night, so they had to DVR the game. When they came home, Ray already knew what happened. But his boys told him not to tell them the outcome while they watched it in another room. 'So they kept screaming every time the Phillies got a hit,' Ray told us. 'It got to the point where I said, 'If you scream just ONE more time, I'm gonna tell you the final score!' "Look for Dennis' cover story on the men on Dec. 6.
